The Planet wins at VIFF

Prizewinner explores Earth's critical condition.

The documentary The Planet has won the inaugural Kyoto Planet Climate for Change Award at the 26th annual Vancouver International Film Festival.

The film's team of Swedish directors, Michael Stenberg, Johan Soderberg and Linus Torell, travelled to more than 25 countries to find planet Earth in critical condition. Besides global warming, the documentary looks at environmental degradation, mass extinction, exploding human population and continuing industrial growth.
